Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about threading, tinting and visiting our Sydney salon.
Your questions, answered
What is eyebrow threading?
Threading is an ancient hair-removal technique that uses a twisted cotton thread to lift hair directly from the follicle. It removes hair in neat rows, giving precise, clean brow shapes without wax or chemicals — making it gentler on the skin.
Is threading better than waxing?
Threading offers more precision and control than waxing, so it is ideal for detailed brow shaping. It does not pull at the skin the way wax can, which makes it a popular choice for sensitive skin and for anyone using retinol or other skincare actives.
Does threading hurt?
Most clients feel a light, quick scratching sensation that fades within seconds. Any discomfort is brief, and it usually lessens with regular appointments as the hair becomes finer over time.
How long does eyebrow threading last?
Results typically last two to four weeks, depending on your natural hair-growth cycle. Booking a regular appointment every three to four weeks keeps your brows looking their best.
Do you take walk-ins?
Where our schedule allows, walk-ins are welcome. Because threading appointments are quick, we can often fit you in — but booking online guarantees your preferred time with no wait.
Where are you located?
We are based in Sydney, NSW, easily reached from the CBD, Crows Nest, Neutral Bay and the Lower North Shore. See our Contact page for the exact address and directions.
How should I prepare for my first threading appointment?
Come with clean skin and, if you like, an idea of the brow shape you want — a reference photo helps. Avoid heavy makeup around the brow area, and let your specialist know about any recent skincare treatments so they can tailor the service to you.
Can I have threading if I have sensitive skin?
Yes. Because threading only touches the hair and not the skin surface the way wax does, it is often recommended for sensitive or reactive skin. Always tell your specialist about allergies or skin conditions beforehand.
What is the difference between eyebrow tinting and henna brows?
Tinting colours the brow hairs for a fuller look that lasts a few weeks. Henna also stains the skin underneath, creating a bolder, more defined shape that can last longer — great if you want extra definition.
